Affordable wedding invitations on eBay

eBay gets a bad name for allowing dodgy people to sell their wares to unsuspecting customers, but sometimes, there is a gem in amongst the unsavoury characters, and so I’ve been checking out deals available for you and have listed my favourites here! **
However, if these are not to your taste, then distinguishing the good from the bad is relatively easy! The seller’s appearance on this post is determined by the quality of their work as defined by the ratings given by previous clients, which surely is the best recommendation you can get!?! Make sure you check out the comments previous customers have give too, just to lay rest to any concerns you may have! ***

How to design and make a brooch bouquet

For all you Brides out there that want an alternative to the normal bridal flower bouquet, then how about walking down the aisle with a glitzy brooch bouquet??
They look excellent but extremely complicated, however I recently found a brilliant step by step guide to making your very own gorgeous brooch bouquet and thought this would be a really helpful guide for all you “crafty” Brides to Be out there!!!
Isn’t it GORGEOUS?!?!?!

Personalised wedding-day cards for your partner

A nice idea that some Brides like to do is to write their husband or wife to be a little letter to open on the morning of their wedding day. But have you seen many cards titled “to my husband/wife to be”??  No, neither have I!
However, I recently came across a seller on Etsy (see yesterday’s post) who makes cards with hand-cut wording on the front, and can be personalised to your wedding colours!
Each card ranges from between £5-£10 depending on the style you choose (this price does not include p&p), so they’re not “cheap”, but they are high quality and completely unique and would be perfect as a thoughtful and heartfelt gift to give to your soon to be legal partner. I am definitely going to get one of these for Mr M to open whilst getting ready on the big day, and quite possibly for my Mum too, as a thank you card.
Something else that is brilliant about these cards, is that the seller is from the UK, which means you won’t have to spend horrendous amounts on international shipping!! DEFINITELY worth it!!!
You can be as quirky or cute as you like… the only limitation is your imagination!

Colour scheme tool

Ever struggled to remember the exact shade of the colour you’re planning to base your day around? Can’t pick out the differences between light blue and sky blue when talking to the suppliers, but can pick out a million differences when you get back home?? (I do this ALL the time!!!)
The PANTONE WEDDING™ Color Fan Guide is a brilliant tool to use when planning your wedding. Its really handy for when you’re talking to suppliers, finding bridesmaid dresses, choosing invitations and organising favours, amongst loads of other decisions that you’ll be making throughout your wedding planning.
At £28, its not the cheapest item I’ll recommend on here, but it could possibly be the most useful and cost efficient!! And remember, once you’ve finished with it, you can always sell it to another Bride and recoup some money!!! Its also something that I’ll be buying once Mr M and myself start buying the necessary items.
Used by Dessy, amongst loads of other famous companies, the Colour Fan Guide is the easiest way to match different aspects of your day, so if the above description sounds like you, perhaps this is something you should consider (particularly if you’ll be buying dresses from Dessy)!
Plus, if you buy it from the link below, you get a FREE Dessy tote bag, handy for lugging around inspiration scrapbooks and the like!! Can’t complain about that really!!

Brilliant website: Etsy

I only came across the website Etsy at the start of the year but I’m already in love with it! Its an American-style Ebay, but cuter, quirkier and more kitsch. So if that sounds like you, get yourself on there!!!
You can pick up loads of different items, and their wedding section is brilliant! The only thing to be aware of, is that because its a US site, the p&p costs are not exactly cheap. However, if its the only place you can find your particular item, then its definitely worth it!! I would recommend checking our Ebay first though, just in case you can find what you want here and can avoid the higher p&p!
Etsy is particulary brilliant if you are trying  to create a chic, home-made kind of theme; there is so many sellers selling quirky items and really cutesy favours.
If nothing else, Etsy is a source of inspiration!!!
